Describe something in spesific

1.      My favourite watch

I have a favourite watch. It is an expensive watch. My uncle gives it to me as a present on my 15 birthday. It is a white watch with brown leather straps. It is very comfortable to wear on my hand. My watch also has days and dates sign on it. It is a very stylish watch. I love my watch.

2.      My favourite mug

My mug that I bought at Paris is my favourite thing. It is very special because my mother bought it to me when we have a holiday at Paris Perancis last month. It is a cute mug with picture of eifel tower on it. It color is white. I like to use it for my chocolate drink. When I feel sad, I will drink chocolate with my cute mug and I will feel better.

3.      My favourite Guitar

I like music. I like playing guitar. I have an electric guitar. I bought it at the music store in my town. My father give the money to buy it because I won the music festival at school. My guitar is black. It is so cool. It has six strings. It also has knob to tune the volume. To use my guitar I have to connect it with amplifier. I love my guitar. I can play cool music with it.

4.      My favourite Shoes

I have a new shoes. My shoes is a brown with white strip. The size is 37, it fit me well. It is a cute shoes. When I wear it to school all my friends like it too. They say that my shoes is beautiful. Oh, I love my shoes. My new shoes makes me happy.

5.      My favourite T shirt

I have a football t shirt. The color is red. Red is the color of  Liverpool . Liverpool is my favourite football team. My t shirt has the symbol of Liverpol on the chest. It is a picture off liver birds. On the back, there is the name of my favourite player and its number. Philipe Cotinho, no 10. My t shirt is very cool. I like it.

6.      My Favourite Book

I love reading book. My favourite book is Harry Potter series. I have read all of the series.

I love this books because they are so imaginative. The story is so amazing. When read the books, sometimes I imagine my self is studying at hogward and learn magic.

My favourite character of the book is harmonie. She is cute and smart. I want to be like her.

7.      My Favourite Shoes

I have a lot of shoes. But I have one favourite shoes.

It is blue shoes that my mother give me last year. Since then, I always use this shoes when I can. I like this shoes because it is so comfort.n and the color also blue. I like blue. A always use my favourite shoes carefully. Because i do not want to break it.

8.      My Favourite Cup

I have one fafourite cup. It is a cup that I bought at the shop in Paris. It is very good cup with picture Eiffel Tower on it. It was my souvenir from my holiday at France. Like to use my cup to make a hot chocolate. When i am learning or reading a book at home. I always have a cup of hot chocolate to drink. It make me feel better.

Question Tag

Pengertian Question Tag adalah pertanyaan pendek yang di tambahkan di akhir pertanyaan (declarative sentence) untuk menanyakan informasi atau meminta persetujuan. Seperti idiom (ungkapan bahasa Inggris), question tag merupakan bagian yang sering digunakan dalam percakapan sehari-hari seorang native speaker. Walaupun grammar, pronounciation, dan intonation-nya baik, seseorang dapat mudah dikenali bukan sebagai native speaker jika tidak menggunakan question tag.

Rumus Question Tag

·         Linking verb ‘be’ yaitu: is, am, are, was, were, sedangkan auxiliary ver beruba primary auxiliary verb (be, do, have) atau modal auxiliary verb (will, would, may, might, can, could, sahll, should) yang cocok pada dengan verb pada bagian peryataan.

·         Pronoun disesuaikan dengan subject pada bagian peryataan  

Contoh  Question Tag

1. Jika kalimatnya positif, maka question tag-nya negatif.

Contoh:

• You are handsome, aren’t you? [Kamu tampan, kan?]
• He is serious, isn’t he? [Dia serius, bukan?]

Catatan:  Jika question tag-nya negatif, maka not harus disingkat (misal aren’t you? bukan are not you?).

2. Jika kalimatnya negatif, maka question tag-nya positif.

Contoh:

• You are not handsome, are you? [Kamu tidak cantik, kan?]
• He is not serious, is he? [Dia tidak serius, bukan?]

3. Jika subjeknya I am, maka question tag-nya aren’t I. Namun, bila subjeknya I am not, maka question tag-nya am I.

Contoh:

• I am smart, aren’t I? [Saya pintar, kan?]
• I am not guilty, am I? [Saya tidak bersalah, kan?]

4.  Jika kalimatnya menggunakan kata kerja (verb), maka gunakan do/does untuk Verb 1 dan did untuk Verb 2 dalam membuat question tag-nya.

Contoh:

• You stay in Lampung, don’t you? [Anda tinggal di Lampung, kan?]
• Echi writes a short story, doesn’t she? [Echi menulis sebuah cerita pendek, kan?]
• She played guitar, didn’t she? [Dia bermain gitar, kan?]

5. Jika kalimatnya menggunakan modals, maka gunakan modals untuk question tag-nya. Khusus untuk modals have to, gunakan kata bantu do untuk question tag-nya.

Contoh:

• Nasya can’t play piano, can she? [Naysa tidak bisa bermain piano, kan?]
• Tiwi will be here, won’t she? [Tiwi akan ke sini, kan?]
• They have to go to school, don’t they? [Mereka harus pergi ke sekolah, kan?]

6.  Jika kalimatnya mengandung sebuah kata dengan arti negatif, seperti nobody, no one, seldom, nothing, hardly, barely, rarely, maka gunakan question tag positif.

Contoh:

• No one cares of me, do they? [Tak ada seorang pun yang peduli pada saya, kan?]
• She never seems to care, does she? [Dia tak pernah nampak peduli, kan?]
• Arif seldom does his homework, does he? [Arif jarang mengerjakan PR-nya, kan?]
• Nobody lived in this house, did they? [ Tidak ada seorang pun yang tinggal di rumah ini, kan?]

7. Jika subjeknya everyone, everybody, someone, somebody, no one dan nobody, maka gunakan they dalam question tag.

Contoh:

• Somebody played the guitar last night, didn’t they? [Seseorang bermain gitar tadi malam, kan?]
• Everybody watched the movie, didn’t they? [Setiap orang menonton film itu, kan?]

8.  Jika subjeknya everything, something, dan nothing, maka gunakan it dalam question tag.

Contoh:

• Everything should be ready, shouldn’t it? [Semua seharusnya sudah siap, kan?]
• Something is moving, isn’t it? [Sesuatu bergerak, kan?]

9. Jika kalimatnya berupa perintah atau larangan, gunakan will you untuk question tag-nya.

Contoh:

• Close the door, will you? [Tutup pintu, ya?]
• Don’t be lazy, will you? [Jangan malas, ya?]
• Don’t make me upset, will you? [Jangan membuat saya bingung, ya?]

10. Jika kalimatnya dimulai dengan let’s, maka question tag-nya adalah shall we.

Contoh:

• Let’s wash the motorcyle, shall we? [Mencuci mobil, yuk?]
• Let’s go to the mall, shall we? [Pergi ke pantai, yuk?]
• Let’s forget it, shall we? [Lupakan itu, yuk?]
